Colorado mountains after first winter storm

Late fall or early winter. You decide.

I hiked up one of my favorite trails, Yule Creek, in the Raggeds Wilderness Area south of Marble, Colorado to see the view after the first big winter storm passed through.

Shooting almost directly into the sun was a challenge, but I had a lens hood and aimed low to capture the wide valley beneath these three peaks I've nick-named the "baby bells" for their resemblance to the Maroon Bells about twenty miles to the east.
