Do you want to create products with photos on them?
It wasn't that long ago that if you wanted to sell products with photos on them, you had to bring your image to a store or manufacturer, and commit to a large production run. Thanks to the world wide web and advances in manufacturing on demand, you can create a web-based storefront that offers a wide variety of products with photos printed on them. You don't need to purchase anything, and can sell as few as one item.
I have several storefronts on
CafePress,
where I offer t-shirts, mugs, calendars, posters, cards, and other things.
Here's one of my shops, where I sell items featuring Colorado's state flower, the columbine.
That's an example of CafePress' free shop. With their free shop, you can choose which products you wish to offer, and determine how much profit you want for each, but are limited to one image and can't adjust the layout or formatting of the storefront. For as little as $5/month, you can create a storefront with a lot more flexibility. In addition to being able to choose which products you offer, you can use many images and adjust the look and feel of the store as you wish. Save up to 50% at Mixbook There are many other sites, like
Zazzle
and Vistaprint, that offer the same service. Some of them give advice on designing your storefront to improve traffic, and enable alt-tags and other tools to optimize your search engine ranking. I recommend adding text to images to improve their appeal. Consumers may buy a t-shirt with just a photo, but they're more likely to buy one that expresses their feelings.
